The Phil Kessel sweepstakes are heating up.
The Toronto Sun reports, The Leafs' have offered two first-round picks, another draft pick and a prospect. According to NESN.com in Boston, the Predators have offered a first-round pick, the rights to forward Alexander Radulov (who is playing in the KHL in Russia) and a top defensive prospect.
One Leafs prospect the Bruins have been looking closely at is Christian Hanson, sources tell Inside Pittsburgh Sports. Leafs GM Brian Burke prefers not to deal Hanson but he may not have a choice with the Predators making a strong bid for Kessel.
In fact, acquiring Kessel will likely cost Burke a much higher rated prospect than Hanson.
Dubinsky lowers demands
Entering the seventh day of the negotiating stalemate that has kept unsigned free agent Brandon Dubinsky out of training camp, the Rangers' projected first-line center has reduced his asking price, The New York Post reports.
According to the report, Dubinsky is now seeking a one-year deal for approximately $1.1 million or a two-year deal for approximately $2.15 million.
For now, Vinny Prospal is the Rangers #1 center in camp ahead of Chris Drury.
