untitled LATEST RUMBLINGS

Top Penguins pro scout Don Waddell has been tracking Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller extensively, sources say. Miller, 33, is 2-10-0 with a 3.09 GAA and .919 save percentage.
The Penguins have been linked to Miller by some national media outlets, but the sense is that Waddell tracking Miller has been mostly due to his scouting role with Team USA. The sense inside the Penguins organization is that the team does not have Miller on their radar.
Who would you rather have Fleury or Miller?
Surprisingly, Miller still appears to be held in high regard. I polled three scouts on that question yesterday and all three said Miller.
Miller and Fleury (.920 save percentage) have nearly identical save percentages this season, despite Miller playing on a ten time worst defensive team.
That said, I’d rather have Fleury who is four years younger and I believe the Penguins feel the same way.
Aside from the 2010 Olympic run, Miller does not have a lot of big time playoff experience. He has not appeared in the playoffs since 2010-2011.
Miller is said to be available for less than a first round pick and prefers to go to the west coast.
