With John Tortorella the new coach in New York, the question now is whether Tortorella will want Sean Avery on his team. The idea of adding Avery was likely a discussion between Tortorella and management this afternoon.
Tortorella was very critical of Avery during his time as an analysis for TSN.
It is being speculated that the Toronto Maple Leafs could make a play for Sean Avery. Atlanta is also rumored to be interested. Avery is still property of the Dallas Stars.
