Investigation on-going: Roethlisberger will be interviewed again in next 2-3 days

Chief Woodrow W. Blue Jr., the police chief in Milledgeville, Georgia handling the sexual assault allegation against Pittsburgh Steelers star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger held a press conference today and the investigation is on-going.

No charges have yet to be filed. Mr. Blue indicated that he has been in contact with Roethlisberger's lawyer and they are setting up an interview with Roethlisberger in the next 2-3 days.

Roethlisberger has not been interviewed since Friday morning.

They are anticipating up to 8 interviews this week with witnesses from the alleged incident.

I like how in one breath, eric criticizes everyone for "passing judgment before we even know anything," and in the next, unequivocally announces that indeed, Ben ISN'T a rapist. Apparenetly those that thing Ben is a rapist don't know anything, but he's privy to facts that they are not.

Well let me sum up my thoughts Jaluco. ok. ben isn't a rapist in my mind, he is a target and an easy one cause he shouldn't be at these types of places. Ben is a young guy looking to have fun and these women run to him cause they see one hundred million reasons to. now these are my opionions not yours ok.

If Carson Palmer would have been accused last year by a woman in Colorado and then again by some in Georgia this year, there would almost no one on this board telling the numerous people saying he would be a typical Bengal player and I'm sure "rapist" would come up often. This is typical hometown bias from fans about "their" guy. At best is it total stupidity from a guy who should be trying to stay out of all these situations.

That is not an apples to apples comparison. The Bengals had a long line of off the field problems, the Steelers don't. The USA is built off of Innocent until proven guilty not just Steeler fans.

Bottom line...There is a way to conduct yourself and avoid situations like this and he hasn't. This franchise is built around this guy and kids look up to him. True or not, it's disappointing and makes it difficult to rally behind him.

j_s - the Steelers don't have a long line of off the field problems? Jeff Reed has had multiple incidents. Matt Spaeth joined him for one. Ben has now apparently raped not one but two girls. James Harrison smacked his girl around over a baptism (and Mr. Rooney publicly condoned it). Cedrick Wilson punched his girlfriend in a public restaurant. When does it become a "long line" to you?
