If Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma believed Marc Andre Fleury gave them the best chance to win a Stanley Cup, Bylsma would have went back to Fleury for the start of the Senators series. That was the time to do it, so it’s not surprising that Tomas Vokoun will make his ninth straight playoff start tonight vs the Boston Bruins.
“No, I don’t pay attention much to what media is saying, never did,” Vokoun said. “Dan just said to come play next game and that was it.”
Vokoun is the Penguins guy and sources said last week that Bylsma strongly believes Vokoun can lead the Penguins to a Stanley Cup, so it’s going to take more than one loss for Vokoun to go back to the bench.  That said, if the Penguins fall into an 0-2 hole, you can’t rule out Fleury starting Game 3 for the sole purpose of jumpstarting the team, but I don’t believe it’s something Bylsma wants to do.
Fleury lost his starting job after Game 4 of the Islanders series and has not played in 26 days.
