Norfolk State cornerback Don Carey arrived in Pittsburgh Tuesday evening and will make an official visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers brass today.
Scouting Report
Carey, (5-11, 193 lbs) is very

athletic and has the size and bulk to fit into the Steelers 3-4 scheme. What the Steelers are intrigued by is Carey’s terrific ball skills.
Solid tackler who has a physical edge to him, can also play safety. The negatives for Carey is he could be a projection player as he came from a small school and could use a year of NFL coaching to work on his footwork and technique
The Steelers currently need an impact corner with the loss of Bryant McFadden.
Overall — very hard worker and Carey is an intriguing prospect who the Steelers are high on. The Steelers also interviewed Carey during the combine.
Projection: Late round selection
Wake Forest conerback Alphonso Smith is expected to visit the Steelers on April 13th
