PITTSBURG, Kan. (Jan. 24) – For the second-straight season, California University of Pennsylvania senior offensive lineman Dan Jordan (Tionesta, Pa./Redbank Valley) earned Don Hansen’s Football Gazette Third-Team All-America honors, announced the organization on Monday.
The 6-3 offensive lineman started all 12 games for Cal U this past season, anchoring an offensive line that helped the Vulcans average nearly 40 points, 170 rushing yards and 400 yards of total offense per game. Jordan finished his career with 40 starts, including 27-straight over the last two seasons.
In November, Jordan was named both ESPN Academic All-District and All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West for the third-straight season.
In total, the PSAC featured 11 players on the three All-America Teams, including National Co-Freshman of the Year running back Franklyn Quiteh from Bloomsburg.
This marks the 23rd year Don Hansen’s Football Gazette, a recognized authority on small college football, has selected an NCAA Division II All-America team. The national publication selected all-region teams with the first- and second-team all-region players from each of the four geographic regions comprising the national ballot, which was voted upon by a select national panel.
A total of 84 players earned Football Gazette All-America honors.
