Insider Only Olli Maatta dealing with recurring shoulder injury

  • Olli Maatta will be sidelined for at least the next couple weeks and potentially long-term with an undisclosed injury, though, the belief is Maatta’s dealing with some pain in the same shoulder that he had off-season surgery on. Maatta was placed on IR this morning. “They’re still running tests on him as well and trying to get a second opinion with the injury,” Johnston told reporters during his pre-game media session. “[Injured reserve] indicates that he’s certainly going to be out for a couple weeks here while they’re running their tests and figuring out where they’re going to go with it.”
