Pedro Alvarez has 19 home runs in day games since start of 2012 season

Pedro Alvarez (.194 – 5 HR – 13 RBI) went 2-4 with a HR, 2 RBIs in the Pirates 6-4 win over the Brewers on Wednesday afternoon. Alvarez homered in the 2nd inning, a solo shot, and had an RBI single in the eighth to push the Pirates lead to 6-4. Alvarez has 5 multi-hit games in his last nine games and today’s homer in a day game marked the 19th home run for Alvarez in a day game since the start of the 2012 season. Overall Alvarez has 35 home runs since the 2012 season, 19 of them have come in day games.
