The power play has been an area of focus for the Penguins in their past two morning skates and it was once again this morning. With a focus on getting traffic in front of Jaroslav Halak, head coach Dan Bylsma not only altered the Penguins 1st and 2nd power play units but also changed the formation as the Penguins prepare for game 5.

The big move this morning was Evgeni Malkin playing the right point and Sergei Gonchar sliding over to the left point with Malkin acting as the trigger man for a one timer.
Down low Pittsburgh has added grit and the ability to win puck battles down low by placing Bill Guerin and Chris Kunitz down low with Sidney Crosby working the right boards.
On the Penguins second power play unit, Kris Letang played the left point with Alex Goligoski at the rigth point.
Down low was Jordan Staal – Mark Letestu and Matt Cooke. Letestu on the second power play unit is an interesting move. Others are also expected to fill in.
1st power play unit: Kunitz – Crosby – Guerin
Gonchar – Malkin
2nd power play unit: Letestu – Staal – Cooke/Talbot
Letang – Goligoski
