Insider Only Penguins beat Sunday’s deadline, sign 2012 3rd round pick Oscar Sundqvist

The Penguins announced this morning that the team has signed 2012 3rd round pick Oscar Sundqvist, beating Sunday’s 5:00 p.m. deadline.
The contract will begin with the 2014-15 season and run through the 2016-17 campaign. Sundqvist had been strongly considering not signing with the Penguins.
Sundqvist was one of the Penguins best forwards at last summers developmental camp and scouts feel he has maybe the most upside of any forward in their system right now. Pittsburgh has one of thw weakest group of forwards prospects in the NHL.
Sundqvist, 20, has excellent size at 6-foot-3, 185-pounds and can play wing or center.

2012 5th round pick Clark Seymour remains unsigned.
