Kessel LATEST PENGUINS BUZZ
As anticipated, Trade talks between the Penguins and Leafs about Phil Kessel have picked back up this morning after cooling off a bit over the weekend.
One source described talks

“as heating up in a big way” as traction is believed to have been made.
Elsewhere:
— Paul Martin has hit the open market. He’s cut his list down to three teams. One of the three teams is the Columbus Blue Jackets, a very intriguing spot for him.
— Taylor Chorney, Blake Comeau, two others the Penguins had been in discussions with are also hitting the open market. Chorney is unlikely to return.
UPDATED 12:10 P.M.
— The New York Islanders have signed goaltender Thomas Greiss to a 2 year, $3 million contract.
— The Washington Capitals have signed Taylor Chorney to a one year, $700,000 contract. The deal is a one-way contract.
