Insider Only Penguins make offer for Senators Chris Neil

Six to eight teams expressing interest in Senators forward Chris Neil. Sources indicate, Detroit, San Jose, Edmonton and Pittsburgh leading the pack.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have made an offer for Senators forward Chris Neil. According to my source the offer is a prospect and a third round pick. The Prospect the Penguins offered is currently unknown. It has been speculated that the Senators have been asking about Ben Lovejoy. I cannot confirm that Lovejoy has been offered. Pittsburgh is high on him.
The Wings and Sharks are believed to have offered a 2nd round pick ( no prospect) according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
I’ve been told the Penguins want a answer within the next 36 hours.
If the Penguins are unable to land Neil, they will move on Av’s forward Ian Laperriere who the Penguins are believed to be very interested in.
