The Pittsburgh Penguins have placed Chuck Kobasew on waivers. Kobasew carries a $550,000 cap hit and if he clears waivers the Penguins will have option to send Kobasew down to the minors to clear a spot on the 23 man roster limit. Kobasew has no goals in his last 29 games.
