Three Boston College players, including Pittsburgh Penguins 2009 second round pick Philip Samuelsson were among those charged after an automobile collided with a trolley in the Boston area.
Goaltender Parker Milner and defenseman Philip Samuelsson and Patrick Wey face charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol following the crash, The BostonChannel.com reported this morning.
According to the BostonChannel.com, the three were reported to be among seven in a Jeep Cherokee near midnight Saturday in Brighton, Mass. A trolley operator reported that the car’s driver, pulled in front of the trolley and tried to make a U-turn, causing the collision, the website reported.
The trolley operator told police that three of the Jeep’s occupants, including Milner, threw away what looked like alcohol containers before fleeing the scene, according to TheBostonChannel.com. Milner and Wey are 19; Samuelsson is 18. All are freshmen.
Samuelsson who is one of the Penguins top defensemen prospects in their system, played in all 42 games in Boston College’s run to a national championship.
