As expected the Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Chris Conner today. Conner, 25, recorded one assist in six games during his stint in Pittsburgh.
Conner did not practice today and one reason for sending Conner down is due to the fact that the Penguins are up against the cap and that Evgeni Malkin is returning to the lineup.
*Forward Evgeni Malkin is practicing today and worked with the first team power play. Malkin will return to the lineup Saturday night against the Boston Bruins.
