Insider Only Penguins re-assign Jayson Megna after four penalty night

  • Even with Zach Sill out for a couple weeks and Sidney Crosby set to miss his second straight game tonight vs Columbus, Jayson Megna found his way into Mike Johnston’s dog house and was re-assigned this morning, while the Penguins recalled Bryan Rust and Bobby Farnham. Rust and Farnham are both expected to be in the lineup tonight. In a tight game, Megna took four penalties Friday night vs the Flames. “I thought [Megna] on probably two of them, he probably took a bad penalty,” Johnston said. “You just can’t do that in close tight games like that.” Rust has had immediate success in his first AHL season with 14 points in 25 games and leads Wilkes Barre with 10 goals.
