Penguins recall Chris Conner

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Chris Conner this evening. Conner will appear in his second straight game Thursday night.
Conner, 26, was recalled Monday and was a pivotal player in Pittsburgh’s 4-2 victory over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden that evening. Conner recorded his first career two-goal game, while also netting the game-winner in the third period. His first goal was his first as a Penguin.
Due to cap reasons, Conner was re-assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton following Monday’s win. He has played seven games for Pittsburgh this season, recording three points (2G-1A) and 10 shots on goal.
The speedy forward has appeared in 24 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season and ranks fifth on the club with 22 points (7G-15A). He tied a WBS franchise record with five points (2G-3A) in a 6-3 victory over the Syracuse Crunch Jan. 23.
Conner (5-foot-8, 180 pounds) spent three-plus seasons with the Dallas Stars organization prior to signing with Pittsburgh over the summer. In 71 games with the Stars he recorded 21 points (7G-14A).
