Robert Bortuzzo, one of the Penguins top prospects on the blueline, has been recalled from Wilkes Barre/Scranton, the team announced this evening.
Bortuzzo will join the team in Los Angeles for tomorrow night’s game.
Bortuzzo, 22, was a plus-28 last season for the Baby Pens, establishing career highs of 26 points in 79 games. The 6-foot-3 defenseman is a plus-44 in his last 156 regular season games at the AHL level.
Ben Lovejoy who broke his wrist in last night’s game, joins defensemen Zbynek Michalek and Brian Strait on injured reserved.
