The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled top prospect winger Luca Caputi. Management held an extensive meeting with members of the organization yesterday regarding the direction of the team as a call-up for Caputi after the new year has been in the works.
Caputi will make his season debut tonight against the Atlanta Thrashers.
The 6-foot-2, 184-pound forward is currently the leading goal scorer for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with 13 goals, and ranks third on the club in points (26) through 36 contests. He also has a team-high 121 shots on goal.
