Boucher makes Penguins debut
Defenseman Phillipe Boucher who was traded to Pittsburgh in exchange for defenseman Darryl Sydor on Sundayhis Penguins debut tonight. Boucher will be paired with Alex Goligoski and will see time on the 1st and 2nd power play units. Boucher appeared in 16 games for the Dallas Stars and recorded three points and averaged 21:46 of ice time. Boucher has been bothered with shoulder injuries the past few seasons and only appeared in 38 games last season. In 2006-2007 Boucher played in 76 games and recorded 51 points including 19 goals.
Penguins recall John Curry: The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled goaltender John Curry from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. Curry posted a 3-4-0 record in eight games this season Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He has recorded a save percentage of .897 and a 3.36 goals-against average at the time of his recall.
