The Pittsburgh Penguins today agreed to a 1 year, 2-way contract with defenseman Corey Potter, the team announced this afternoon.
The deal is for 2010-2011 and will pay Potter $500,000 at the NHL level.
Potter, 26, has appeared in eight career NHL games with the New York Rangers. Potter was the Rangers 4th round pick in 2003.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound blueliner has posted 21 goals , 81 assists and 102 points in 246 games with the Hartford Wolfpack, New York’s top minor league affiliate.
