The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed wing Blake Comeau and goaltender Thomas Greiss.
Bob McKenzie of TSN reports Comeau’s deal is for one year worth $700,000. Greiss is for one year at $1 million.
Greiss went 10-8-5 with a 2.29 GAA and .920 save percentage.
Greiss has a career record of 27-24-8 with a 2.43 GAA and .915 save percentage.
Penguins pro scouts have always liked Greiss and I know some feel he has starter potential.
Comeau, 28, had 5 goals and 16 points in 61 games. Had 197 hits. Here’s why Penguins like him: 53.0% CF%, strong possession player last year.
Comeau had a career high 24 goals in 2010-2011.
