-- The NHL schedule keeps getting backed up but it is expected to be announced today in the 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. hour.
The league is expected to start the regular season on Thursday, October 6th, with most team's kicking off their season on Friday, October 7th.
The Penguins figure to the start season with an early road trip if they are not apart of the season opening games on the 6th.
The Calgary Flames have already announced that their home opener will be on Saturday, October 8th against the Penguins.
