PENS PROSPECT ROUNDUP
WBS Penguins: Colin McDonald scored twice and the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins took Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal, defeating the Hershey Bears 3-1 on Friday night.
Game 2 is Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
The Penguins were 2-for-5 on the power play and 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
Cal O'Reilly also scored, netting the game winning goal. Jason Williams and Alex Picard each had 2 assists.
Brad Thiessen made 19 saves in the victory, losing his shutout bid with 1:52 remaining in the game.
