Coming off last night’s 5-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Pittsburgh Penguins were back on the ice this afternoon, just after 12:00 p.m.
Everyone is accounted for expect defenseman Alex Goligoski who has been given a maintenance day.
Injured players Jordan Staal (foot) and Zbynek Michalek are on the ice going through today’s workout. Michalek has been cleared for contact and could return to the lineup this weekend. He appears to be a lock to play at somepoint during the Penguins upcoming four game road trip.
*Forward Eric Godard returned to practice after being off the ice for two days due to an illness. Godard is a strong possibility to get back into the lineup tomorrow night against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Through the first 30 minutes of practice, the Penguins have not broken into any line rushes. The team is going through a relaxed practice with a number of skilled and flow drills.
