Updates on Dupuis, Kennedy, Asham, Thiessen
-- Meant to post this earlier today but the Penguins and Tyler Kennedy continue to make no progress on discussions centering around a term of 2 years or more. There is no one connected to the situation who feels there will be a deal in place by next Friday's draft, which surely will fuel trade speculation.
There's also a lot of doubts that either side is going to find common ground on a multi-year deal this summer.
The thinking process from some is that things are moving into the direction where the only two realistic options emerging are a one year deal worth $2 million per season (or more) or a trade.
-- The Penguins are not close to any deals with their NHL regulars but some chatter this evening is that talks are starting to reach the point with Pascal Dupuis where things could take a step in the right direction fairly soon.
