Pirates 3 – White Sox 2: Kang, McCutchen, Locke

1. Jeff Locke continued the Pirates dominant starting pitching stretch, putting on one of his finest starts of the season. Locke struck out 8 and limited the White Sox to just 3 hits and 2 runs, earning his 4th win of the season. Locke threw 99 pitches, 60 for strikes, as he walked just 2 batters on the night.

2. Jung Ho Kang hit a 2-run homer in the first inning, highlighting a 3-run first for the Pirates in their 3-2 win over the White Sox at US Cellular Field. Kang’s 2-run shot was his 4th home run of the season. Kang went 1-4 with HR, 2 RBI, R, in the win and has 4 RBIs in his last three games.

3. Andrew McCutchen went 2-4 with an RBI, run scored in the Pirates 3-2 win. McCutchen had 2 of the Pirates five hits on the night, and extended his hitting streak to five games. McCutchen has multi-hits in three straight games.
