The Pittsburgh Pirates and closer Joel Hanrahan have avoided arbitration and agreed to terms on a one year - $4.1 million contract. Hanrahan, 29, made $1.4 million in 2011 and projected to earn close to $4 million in arbitration
If Hanrahan puts together another strong campaign in 2012, trade speculation will surely follow Hanrahan all season as the Pirates continue to show no interest in locking up Hanrahan to a multi-year deal
