Pirates have now won each of Jeanmar Gomez’s six starts

Jeanmar Gomez (2-0, 2.30 ERA) threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits, walking 1 and striking out 2 in the Pirates (32-20) 1-0 win over the Detroit Tigers (29-21) on Tuesday night. Gomez received a no decision and threw just 73 pitches through 7 innings. The Pirates have now won each of Gomez’s six starts. Gomez now has a 2.30 ERA and 1.07 WHIP in 43 innings after posting a 5.96 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 90.2 innings for Cleveland in 2012.
