The Pittsburgh Pirates today optioned pitcher Brad Lincoln (1-4, 6.57 ERA) to Triple-A Indianapolis, following today’s start.
The struggles for Lincoln continued today, giving up six runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings pitched in the Pirates 6-3 loss to the San Diego Padres on Sunday afternoon at PNC Park.
The Pirates also announced after today’s game that the team has designated reliever Brendan Donnelly for assignment.
