Gregory Polanco (.365 – 1 HR – 6 RBI) – extended his hitting streak to 11 games Saturday nights 5-3 win vs Chicago. The Pirates rookie is hitting .365/.421/.442 in his first 11 games in the Major Leagues. Polanco has an OBP of .468 and .968 OPS in 42-at-bats when batting in the leadoff spot.
Josh Harrison (.307 – 5 HR – 21 RBI) – Went 2-4, powering the Pirates to victory with a 2-run homer in the top of the 7th to put the Pirates ahead 5-2. Harrison drove in 3 runs vs the Cubs. Harrison is hitting .324 in June.
Vance Worely (1-0, 1.98 ERA) – Posted a second straight solid start, allowing 5 hits and 3 earned runs in 6 2/3 innings to earn the win.
