A nightmare stretch has continued for the Pittsburgh Pirates who were pummeled by the Milwaukee Brewers 17-3 Monday night.
The Pirates fell to 7-12 on the season and 2-8 on the road.
The Pirates losing streak has now reached 7 and their losing streak in Milwaukee is now at 22.
Zach Duke gave up 8 runs and Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo pitched six strong innings and drove in three runs, while journeyman catcher Gregg Zaun tied a career high with four hits and five RBIs for the Brewers.
The Brewers scored 9 runs in the 8th inning and the Pirates have been outscored 53-4 in their four losses against Milwaukee.
During their seven game losing streak the Pirates have been outscored 72-12 and have the major leagues worst run differential of minus-82 (147-65).
