The Pirates today made two roster additions, recalling relief pitchers Justin Thomas and Steven Jackson from Triple-A Indianapolis.
Thomas, 26, is 3-0 with a 1.30 ERA in 24 relief appearances with Indianapolis.
Jackson is 1-0 wth a 2.90 ERA in 22 games.
Jackson or Thomas are not expected to stay with the Pirates beyond Saturday morning.
Daneil McCutchen will be called up at a later time and start this weekend were told.
