BASTARDO ON PIRATES RADAR?

Pirates scouts have been tracking the Philadelphia Phillies of late. The Pirates scouted three of A.J. Burnett’s last four starts and the team has some level of interest in a reunion with Burnett.
The Pirates are in Philadelphia again tonight, according to ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick. Crasnick says 10 teams are scheduled to have scouts in attendance tonight for Cliff Lee’s start.
Jon Morosi of Fox Sports reports the Pirates also have interest in lefty reliever Antonio Bastardo. He has a 3.38 ERA, 6 holds and a 1.10 WHIP in 42 innings pitched. Bastardo, 28, is making $2 million this season and is eligible for arbitration next year.
In 15 of his last 16 games, Bastardo has allowed 0 earned runs, and has held the opposition scoreless in 23 of his last 25 games.
