Lewis leads Pittsburgh to 54-27 rout
Freshman running back Dion Lewis rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns as Pittsburgh defeated Buffalo 54-27 on Saturday.
Quarterback Bill Stull who was booed by his home crowd last week, threw three first half touchdowns as the Panthers jumped out to a 34-20 half time lead.
Stull finished the game 21-for-30 for 172 yards and three touchdowns.
Stull's top target on the afternoon was starting tight end Dorin Dickerson who hauled in three TD's and led the team with 8 receptions.
Lewis capped off the game with an 85 yard touchdown run late in the 4th quarter.
Clark, Penn State cruise to 28-7 win
Quarterback Daryll Clark threw for 240 yards and three TDs as Penn State cruised to a 28-7 win over Syracuse on Saturday.
Clark is off to a hot start, throwing three plus touchdowns in consecutive games. Running back Evan Royster added two touchdowns including a 49 yard touchdown reception on the Nittany Lions opening drive.
Wide receiver Graham Zug had a strong game adding career-highs of six catches and 79 yards. Zug hauled in a 20 yard touchdown reception from Clark in the third quarter to put the Nittany Lions up 21-0.
Greg Paulus, the former Duke basketball player, finished 14 of 20 for 105 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Paulus was pressured all afternoon from the likes of star linebacker Sean Lee.
Penn State improved to 2-0 for the third consecutive year.
