The Syracuse Orange had the Pitt Panthers on the verge of a loss that could have had major implications to the Panthers coaching staff. Down 24 – 16 in the third quarter Pitt fought back and scored 18 unanswered points to beat the Orange 34-24 in Syracuse. LeSean McCoy and LaRod Stephens-Howling led the Panthers comeback combining for 218 rushing yards. Stephens – Howling’s 3 yard touchdown run with 3:22 left in the fourth quarter was the difference maker. More to come in Sunday’s edition.
