Insider Only Post-Morning Skate update: Michalek GTD, Letang skating

POST-MORNING SKATE UPDATE
The Pittsburgh Penguins might not be getting their shutdown pairing back tonight

While Paul Martin returns to the lineup, Defenseman Zbynek Michalek suffered an injury in yesterday’s practice after blocking a shot and his status is in question. The Penguins might be forced to recall Simon Despres or Alex Picard. The good news for Michalek is that the injury is not believed to be concussion, at least that’s the word right now
Meanwhile, some positive news is that Kris Letang is progressing and skated this morning, head coach Dan Bylsma said today. Letang last played on Nov 26 and he still has a long ways to go. An optimistic view around the team is Letang returning near or after the All-Star break
Paul Martin, Richard Park, Steve Sullivan and Pascal Dupuis will all play tonight.
