Penguins GM Ray Shero and Steven Bartlett, the agent for Tyler Kennedy are said to be growing optimistic about reaching a deal before Kennedy hits the open market on July 1.
"Still hopeful", Bartlett said on Wednesday, indicating this week that his focus remains on getting a deal done with the Penguins.
Is that now becoming a reality?
Late into Wednesday night, progress is said to being made between the two sides.
