Wide receiver Antwaan Randle El will be returning to the team that drafted him in the second round of the 2002 draft and it's a dream come true for the versatile receiver to be returning to the place that Randle El claims to be "home."

During his first stint with the Steelers, Randle was a focal point of the Steelers offense as the No. 3 receiver for three of four seasons and an asset in the return game.

In his second stint with the Steelers, Randle El claims that the Steelers plan to use him as the No. 3 receiver during the 2010 season and that being the primary punt or kick returner was never discussed with Steelers brass as the two sides only talked about playing "No. 3 receiver."

Are they trying to fix something that doesn't need fixed? I'm all for bringing him and letting him fight for a spot, but Wallace is probably better at this point.

i think they just told him he would be No 3 to get him here he will more likely be a third down possesion guy and wallace will be the burner. so we will have 2 number 3 WRs each with different strong points

Wonder if Ward has been dropping hints internally about hanging them up. Steelers would then move Wallace to the outside and let El in the slot. Doubtful, but a possibility.

i think ward will play as long as he can.. i think he really loves the game...hes still producing well.

Don't see how el becomes WR3. Although ward is gettin older and he provides good insurance if hines gets banged up again.

Not a chance does ARE play over Wallace. My guess is they told him he'd be playing in the slot again and he takes it as he's the #3 WR.

Good points chance. I like the idea of having 2 #3's. It makes us more versatile by giving us another short passing option.

seabs exactly what i was thinking...he will be the slot receiver which doesnt necessarily mean he is #3 on the depth chart...wallace is more dangerous on as a flanker so i guess it makes some sense

You guys won't believe this...The bleacher report is suggesting that the Steelers trade Ben to Seattle for their two 1st round picks and Matt Hasselback and with the 18th pick or at least one of those 1st rounder take Tim Tebow!! to repace BEN!!!!!

Just think for a second. Jay Cutler went for 2 first round draft picks plus... so I guess Ben would go for about six first round picks. bleacher report is a joke.

I'm all for ARE... Look at it this way ... we have a solid rotation of 4 recievers, where as before we only had 3. SO depth is nice and ARE can help out the special teams

Bottom line with Ben is if they do not file any charges against him he is for sure the Steelers QB for years to come. If charges are filed then I guess they will have a big decision to make. In the end I am about 99% sure he is the QB now and far in the future. Funny how everyone wants to compare him to Brady or Manning, well on the field he is certainly in that category, off the field he has alot of growing up to do before those comparisons are valid
