TIOPS Steelers insider Mike Bires has learned, center A.Q. Shipley, running backs Isaac Redman, Justin Vincent, tackle Jason Capizzi and nose tackle Scott Paxson are among the Steelers first cuts.
Updated: 3:50 p.m. - Carey Davis, Bruce Davis, and Anthony Madison have also been cut.
No Roster Cuts will be announced by the team until tomorrow
Mike Tomlin just indicated at his press conference, that the Steelers will not officially announce any cuts until tomorrow.
Tomlin met with the team this afternoon and informed the players who were among the 22 cuts. The Steelers will keep an eye on the waiver wire and are exploring the trade market, which is a reason an official announcement won't be made until tomorrow.
