Insider Only Richard Park rejoins Penguins on a two-way deal

The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Richard Park to a one-year contract. The deal is a two-way contract worth $550,000 at the NHL level.
Park, the Penguins second round pick in 1994, has played 13 NHL seasons, appearing in 684 NHL games with the Penguins, Anaheim, Philadelphia, Minnesota, Vancouver and the New York Islanders, notching 95 goals, 132 assists and 227 points.
Park has appeared in 58 career games as a Penguin (94-96), notching 4 goals and 7 assists.
An excellent skater, Park is a strong penalty killer, who has 14 career short-handed goals.
Park spent last season (2010-2011) with Geneve Servette of the Swiss National League, tallying 15 goals and 19 assists in 47 games.
Park was a productive player in his final four NHL seasons with the Islanders, before going to play overseas in 2010-2011.

In a four year span (2006-2010), Park put up 45 goals – 75 assists for 120 points, while playing in 80+ games for three of four seasons with Islanders.
06-07, 10 goals – 16 assists – 26 points; 07-08, 12 goals – 20 assists – 32 points; 08-09, 14 goals – 17 assists – 31 points; 09-10, 9 goals – 22 assists – 31 points.
