Insider Only Robert Bortuzzo agrees to two year deal with Penguins

The Penguins and defenseman Robert Bortuzzo have agreed to a 2 year, $1.2 million contract, avoiding arbitration. The deal is a one-way contract and carries an AAV of $600,000. Bortuzzo last season played under a two-way contract.

The deal now puts the Penguins over the salary cap by about $1.1 million. The Penguins have $65,398,333 committed to the salary cap next season to 13 forwards, 8 defensemen, 2 goaltenders. The salary cap is $64.3 million.
