QB Ben Roethlisberger admitted today to reporters that his injured left ankle feels worse today than it did Thursday night vs the Browns when he suffered a grade 1 high ankle sprain. Six days into rehabbing the injury, Steelers officials are said to becoming less optimistic about Roethlisberger playing Monday night. However, no one is ready to rule him out  but team sources say an ideal situation would be for Roethlisberger to get 2-3 weeks of rest. The biggest fear in the immediate future is Roethlisberger being able to protect himself vs the 49ers and that will play a major factor in the team clearing him to play. Roethlisberger intends to do everything he can to play Monday night and has been fitted for a special brace.
