TIOPS Snap Shots:

The Penguins have been poking around at adding an impact forward with term, most notably Minnesota’s Jason Zucker. There’s been rumblings of another forward target with a pretty steep cap hit they’ve looked into. Tatar has had a nice turnaround in Montreal with 25 goals and 58 points last season, while producing at almost a point per game this season for the Canadiens. If your Montreal, unless they surprisingly change course that they’re going to punt on next season and start rebuilding, it’s hard to see a match. And for Pittsburgh, unless they’re willing to start discussing Kris Letang again, Montreal and Pittsburgh had some minor discussions last summer, there’s a much stronger match to putting a deal together for Zucker than Tatar as Montreal believes it can contend this season and wants to go big game hunting in free agent — Taylor Hall –.[/hide]
