Russell Martin making 1st start at third base since 2008

 Russell Martin tonight vs the Atlanta Braves will make his 9th career start at third base and first since August 20, 2008. Russell who signed a 2 year, $17 million contract this past off-season, is hitting .178 with a 1 home run, 2 RBIs on the season. Martin comes into tonight’s game on a four game hitting streak, hitting 6-14 with 1 HR, 1 RBI and 2 doubles during that span. The Pirates (8-8) were 6-0 winners Friday night behind an excellent outing from Wandy Rodriguez (2-0) who threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 5.
