Ike Taylor has become a PR machine for former Steelers looking to resign in Pittsburgh. Taylor not only reiterated today during the Ike Taylor show on Trib live Radio that James Harrison’s first option is to return to Pittsburgh, he also said that Santonio Holmes who he is working out with in Florida, also wants to come back.
“Both of them want to come back to the Steelers,” Taylor said on his radio show.
Taylor says Harrison is finally healthy for the first time in years.
“When James shook my hand, his hand felt like a brick,” Taylor said. “Right now he looks like the Hulk. He’s probably in the best shape of his life.”
Harrison being brought in after June 1, is a possibility, something that’s been a small consideration from the Steelers brass, but Holmes is not happening.
Holmes was a terrible teammate during his first stint in Pittsburgh and Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin couldn’t wait to get rid of Holmes following the 2009 season.
Last season Holmes had 23 receptions for 456 yards and 1 touchdown in 11 games.
