NHL: Sharks actively shopping Patrick Marleau at the draft

One of the biggest names that is likely to be dealt this weekend is San Jose Sharks forward Patrick Marleau.
The Sharks have received calls from a number of teams including the Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Atlanta Thrashers.
Teams such as Atlanta are leery of making a serious play for the talented forward because Marleau only has one year remaining on his contract.
Marleau has a cap hit of $6.3 million.
More Sharks Rumors
TSN’s panel of Insiders have indicated goaltender Evgeni Nabakov is on the trade block. If Nabakov is moved, it is believed Jonas Gustavsson will sign with the Sharks over the Leafs.
League Sources tell TIOPS that Rob Blake is mulling a 1 year – $3.1 million offer from the Sharks. Blake is expected to make a decision by the weekend.
