Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber has agreed to a 14 year offer sheet with the Philadelphia Flyers, TSN’s Darren Dreger reports.
The deal is worth over $100 million and the Predators have seven days to match! If the Predators don’t match, the addition of the 26 year old Weber will be a huge get for the Flyers, landing one of the NHL’s premier defenseman in the game, if not the best overall defenseman in the game at just age 26.
The star defenseman had 19 goals and 49 points last season, amassing a +21 rating. Averaging 26:09 of ice time, the 6-foot-4, 235-pound Weber registered a team-high 177 hits and 140 blocked shots in 2011-2012.
