Sidney Crosby named third star of the week

Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby was named the NHL’s third star of the week today. Crosby notched 8 points (3 goals , 5 assists) in three games, helping the Penguins record victories over a pair of Atlantic Division foes.
Crosby tied a career high with 6 points in a 6-4 victory over the New York Islanders on Janauary 19.
Senators goaltender Brian Elliot was named 1st star of the week, posting a 4-0 record with a 1.25 goals against average.
Colorado Avalanche goaltender Craig Anderson was named 2nd star of the week, posting a 3-0 record with a 0.33 goals against average.
